Volunteers are needed for our new Season! You will be able to see the show for free, make new friends and help create art!
If you are able to help, please contact our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator by emailing info@acttwotheatre.com and letting us know at which performance(s) you will be able to help.
We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life who have a common love of theater and the performing arts. We’re so glad you want to join us. AND, if you volunteer, you will have the opportunity to see shows for FREE and be a part of the team that brings “art-to-life” for our community.
EVEN IF YOU HAVE AS LITTLE AS ONE OR TWO EVENINGS TO HELP OUT, WE STILL NEED YOU!
Here are the different volunteer areas we need assistance for:
Set Construction– This occurs two weeks prior to each show. Usually on a Saturday and Sunday. Set construction involves not only building sets but painting and dressing the set as well. No experience or special skills needed. We will find something for you!
Wardrobe, Props and Costumes– Do you have an eye for fashion? Can you sew? Can you shop? Working closely with the Director there are many costume and prop needs that are required for every show. And, for costume intensive shows we need help backstage during performances too.
Box Office Help– This begins one hour prior to each show. You would help with ticket sales and box office needs before the show and at intermission. You won’t miss a minute of the show and will enjoy it for free.
Ushers– You will help by taking tickets at the theatre door, guiding our audience member, helping our wonderful wheelchair and special needs audience members, as well as making sure all audience members are seated before the performance. You also help at box office pre-show and assist with concessions or other tasks at intermission. You won’t miss a minute of the show and will enjoy it for free.
Concessions– This occurs pre-show and at intermission, and involves selling refreshments as well as tidying-up after intermission. You won’t miss a minute of the show and will enjoy it for free.
Crew/Production– If your expertise is sound, lighting, or props, you can be involved by helping during the run of a show. (You would need to be available for all 8 performances as well as several technical rehearsals the week prior to the show to participate.) Even if you have no experience but would like to learn we would love to welcome you to Act Two Theatre!
Our mission is to include ANY community member with an interest in theatre to become involved with Act Two. There is always a need for assistance backstage to help the actors, set changes, props, wardrobe, etc. There is always a need at the box office or concessions. Just say YES and we will include you in our True Community of Theatre!
If you are able to help, please contact our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator by emailing info@acttwotheatre.com and letting us know at which performance(s) you will be able to help.
